Barcelona Sunrise

Barcelona Sunrise from Sant Pere Martir (399m asl).

Hi Hiker! Get up early, cold morning and lights splendourous are waiting you. Do not doubt, join us. You will see the sun rise over Barcelona from the world’s largest metropolitan park, it will be at 8h 00. You will enjoy a 4-hour guided hiking through the forests and fountains of Collserola Park, and you will see panoramic views of Collserola range.

From Zona Universitaria stop (Metro L-3 green-line).You will climb along an easy path that combines breathtaking views. You will ascend to the top of Sant Pere Martir a bird’s eye view of Barcelona’s grid-like street system.

Then, move to the green and humid side of the mountain, and walk to the Vallvidrera swamp, where you can rest and learn more about the park’s flora and fauna. On your return to the city, pass by the spectacular Budellera’s Fountain, where water gushes from the mouth of a huge natural wall of stone forming one of the most emblematic fountains in the park. You will back to the park using the Vallvidrera Cable Car or optionally an additional hike untill Ronda de dalt.

Technical data shows the hike level scheduled on this tour. Level 2 (on a scale of 5). A completed guided Walk. Start walking point at Diagonal Street (100m s.l.). The trail goes across the Mediterranean forest and gets the top of Sant Pere Martir mountain (399 m). Acumulated level: 400 meters. Total distance: 10 km. Hike duration: 4h-5h. Meeting point: 7h. At Diagonal Street outside metro station Zona Universitària arrival time in Vallvidrera about 12h or in Ronda de Dalt (Sarria District) about :13:30h.
